Aristotle University of Thes-saloniki is a state university
and it was founded in 1925. It comprises 44 departments and
many other units (labs, study and library facilities, clinics,
other units, etc.). It numbers 77.500 students and is considered
the largest university in Greece. |

Most of the Departments are located in the University Campus
which is situaded in the city centre. Some depart-ments and labs
are housed in buildings outside the University Campus. |
